Don't think this one is well worth it for the Saints.


The draft is filled with QB's with potential. If it wasn't the 5th pick i would probably be more optimistic in this trade.

Philly wanted a proven young QB that he doesn't have to worry about trying to upgrade.

Nope, too many moving parts that when broken down just add to the fact that New Orleans is giving up too much.

I get it, previously the Newton deal was what, 2 1st for Newton? I think that's the argument.

Honestly, I think Philly is getting enough compensation back at this point. Two young guys nearly 80 OVR, a "franchise QB" that has a lot of XP that Philly can play around and spend, plus a 3rd Round Pick. An early and late 1st I suppose is good enough.
