Next Gen Madden

So it's getting closer and closer to decision time when it comes to which system EOTP will be moving to for next year's Madden as more people get their next generation consoles.

With this in mind, I'd like to get everybody's opinion on where they're leaning if they don't have one and who's already bought a next gen console.

Personally I'm undecided on the One versus PS4 as of right now. I may get both eventually, but probably not by the time Madden is out and we're up and running. Obviously if we lean one or the other way I'd have to hand off the duties of commissioner if we play the console I don't have.

I have PS4 so obviously lean that way. I have no reason to buy a XBox One. Particularly for sports games.

Being in customers homes and setting these systems up I often ask them their opinions. Right now I say both systems are so new that neither can be declared better than the other. Most PS4 customers seem to be happier because of the games the system has and better PR job Sony did (or shitty one Microsoft did) before the release.

Xbox One customers on a whole tell me they regret attempting to buy one so early. The system has the potential to be great with tons of cool features, the only problem they aren't fully supported yet. The one feature that has me excited about the Xbone is the capabilities of plugging your cable box into your Xbone, eliminating the need to run two cables to your TV as well as doing a dual screen system where I can watch TV while I play, which would be cool while I mindless look at our madden league. Issues with that are the Xbox controllers aren't controlling the cables boxes quit right but I expect that to change with a new firmware update.

All in all its too early to decide, however we play on Microsoft right now and I like the potential that the xbox one has. Either system will be fine and I plan on siding with whichever console we choose because madden is my main priority for the consoles, but I side with Xbox One.

The cable feature is something I've heard a lot of people laud with the One, which I'd actually be interested in. To tell you the truth, I'm not thrilled with either console so far since they seem like the same thing with slightly varying features that aren't being used to their full potentials yet.

I'm probably going to wait and see for a while, especially since I just looked at a game release list and the only next gen exclusives I saw until April are Rayman: Legends and Infamous: Second Son (neither of which I'm interested in). Until something I'm interested in comes out for ONLY next gen I see almost no point in getting either a One or PS4.

I have the XB1 and most likely won't be getting a PS4, so going with xbox has my vote.

Is staying on Xbox a possibility? I vote that. If not, ps4 bc I might get one.

one. because if we're just talking about madden then i could care less. both are played on a tv and are used with a controller.

If you mean on 360, I doubt it. Enough of us are moving up to next gen that I doubt we'd run a 360 league for Madden '14 (or '15, or whatever it's going to be called).

I think Baraka is leaning towards PS4, so I'm probably going to go whichever direction he goes. I could care less really but I want to be able to play with my friends.

AKA the game that also comes out for 360.

I decided to purchase a ps4. I won't be getting xb1. So ps4 is my vote.

I've played both systems at my school and decided on XB1. And ill be waiting for the cheaper white version to come out.

I own both consoles and have played Madden on both and I prefer XB1.

i have a PS4.  no desire to pickup a Xbox 1.     i vote PS4.  or run a legacy league on Xbox 360.

i would be shocked if the game play or graphics will improve enough to support a console jump.

Main reason I see us taking a console jump is because once guys go to next-gen they won't keep their 360 with them.

I vote that we lean more towards whatever console warmaster or bigred head towards. One great thing about this league is it's efficient managing and I like you other guys but I don't see it being anywhere near as good otherwise.
