Keeping Coaches in Connected Careers '13

Keeping Coaches in Connected Careers '13 Empty Keeping Coaches in Connected Careers '13

Well, Madden '13 is a different game from the previous iterations of Madden, and the Connected Careers mode is definitely a huge step from traditional online franchises as we know it. As we continue with Season 2 of '13, there is a definite chance several coaches could be fired (as it was difficult to be fired in the first season).

With that in mind, I'd like to propose a new rule (or opportunity) for use in our league: the continued use of your coach once he has been fired.

These are the rules, which are subject to change:

1) You can only swap teams WITH THE CONSENT of another owner whose coach has been fired.

2) You must have good standing with the league (either no warnings, complaints, etc. or long standing in EOTP) to ensure that you cannot join a team and then quickly leave after wrecking another team (wrecking as a loose term for drastically altering a team).

3) When taking over a team, you can't make any drastic changes unless you last more than one season with that new team (a.k.a. the first season you can't trade several star players and discard extraordinary amounts of players).

This way it's more realistic that you keep your coach than the team (since it is coach mode after all) and you get to keep your scouting/XP.

It would be entirely voluntary--if you didn't want to follow your coach to another team than simply create another coach and re-join as your previous team.

This entire process would be monitored by the league.
