Re: Changes for M25
Right. I've been thinking this for a long time now and I think its a pretty big issue:
Birthdays.
Why aren't we celebrating them? I mean cakes, songs, presents. Lets get on this. Lets get it done. Its 2013 for God's sake and I haven't received a single damn present from any of you fuckers.
EOTP Birthdays 2013.
All in favor???

Don't trivialize this.
Re: Changes for M25
Just a minor thing. Allow owners who don't get fired to switch teams in the offseason if they want.
Re: Changes for M25
That could be a possibility, but we also have to watch for players destroying a team. I.E via trades or cap issue. And wanting to switch. If anything I would allow just 1 switch for non fired coaches.

This will likely be considered, as we're instituting franchise players again next year to keep people from dismantling teams.
Re: Changes for M25
Idk about that. I dont think people should be allowed to change teams. I'm not so much worried about people tear teams apart on purpose, so much as tearing teams apart through their own ineptitude. People can make decent trades and think they're doing well for their team, and 3 or 4 seasons in look at what they have and realize its utter crap. Â But that's their fault. They should have to stick it out, not leave it for some new owner to deal with.
Re: Changes for M25
I would suggest that franchise players be picked by the committee and not by individual owners.
Re: Changes for M25
Mauve, it places a disadvantage on owners who join the league and when they join. When I joined, only Carolina and Detroit were available. Most owners like you described leave anyway
Re: Changes for M25
That's why I would put a 1 swap max for non fired coaches. However, the person can only swap with another non fired coach..? to prevent the... "let new coach deal with it" ...

Re: Changes for M25
I would say any coach because it gives non-fired coaches a bigger selection and most of the time a non-fired coach is a good coach.
Re: Changes for M25
not everyone is willing to switch tho. We will see... we will discuss this and come up with a solution to help with your request.

Re: Changes for M25
If people want to switch teams they should play a required minimum amount of years in order to switch.
Maybe 2 or 3 before people start switching?

Also, we're going to have to see how CCM works in Madden 25. EA Sports might tweak some parts of it (Ha! I made a joke).
Re: Changes for M25
They made it owner mode. So I don't think anyone would want to switch anyway.

Re: Changes for M25
I think phone numbers should be mandatory for contact information. Its fucking annoying when people only put their e-mail information in and they never respond. You sit there for hours waiting to hear back and eventually give up.
I've been in this league for 3 years and have never had any issue with my phone number being on the site. Make that shit mandatory.
(I understand the commish may want to keep his shit off because people blow up his phone all hours of the day looking for auto's and complaints, but otherwise there is no excuse.)

Re: Changes for M25
I know someone suggested this awhile ago, but How about making the contact info blocked to anyone not in the league, avoiding spammers from outside and such.

It's tricky to do that, but we could figure out a way. As is, you need to have an account to view the contact section.
Re: Changes for M25
I have gotten 3 or 4 random phone calls looking for the Washington Redskins before because if you google Washington Redskins Contact information, that post is the 4th link down

Re: Changes for M25
One suggestion I would make. Â If at all possible, I would designate which system or both this online franchise will be on next gen before the next gen systems ship. Â For me personally, that will affect which system I buy.
Re: Changes for M25
Regarding gameplay:
The rules set in place seem to be working, I would like to suggest the QB running rule. Â If I hike it and it's a 3 man rush, no pressure but a huge lane opens I'd like to run there. Â A few people run QB plays that are designed multiple times per game and will run with the QB as well but I am hesitant to do so since I'm not sure when and when not rules are broken. Â Sometimes I'll sit in the pocket knowing I can run and wind up taking a sack.
4th down rules: Â These I believe should be in the eye of the beholder. Â If we have an owner with big kahunas who wants to go for a 4th and 3 at the 50 I say let them. Â I understand this is a sim league but we all know this can happen in the NFL. Â Each owner has their own personality so perhaps a slight adjustment in that aspect.
My biggest thought would be league activity. Â Yes the xbox shows us many things like standings, news, etc etc but how about something more in depth. Â We have quality owners who are here year round so let's step it up. Â Every 4 weeks let's have a power rankings system with notes, let's have someone do owner interviews, if it's possible to do ecash let's simulate a bookie system. Â Get owners involved in all games and things like that.
