Messenger Options

So I've been thinking about ways to get around the problems listing cell numbers for texting, and it was suggested to take a look at some messenger services.

As such, I think Kik could be a good option -- it's available for all smart phones (iPhones, Android and Blackberries included) and would allow for messaging from your phone without a cell number being listed.

Personally, I've been using Yahoo! Messenger's texting feature, but this could be a better option.

Thoughts?

You should look at GroupMe..There are numerous leagues using this and it works really good...you can pm and it serves as a chat

This could work pretty well, as there's also an SMS feature that allows answering via text.

so whats the ideas and figures on the chat system? I been putting everyone on my phone for texting but somthing like this would work great, we can get someone that has a phone app and everyone stay signed into it, where as the website kills phone battery the chat app wouldn't and I can still chat with my peeps at work without killing the battery. lol
