MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENTS

Alright guys, we're hitting that point where Madden is slowing down and we're losing owners. I will say this right now: I intend to finish out this season at the least, and hope to go for a bit longer before hanging up Madden 25.

I would like to get people's opinions on keeping going in Madden 25 -- should we just slog through it and hope to recruit a bit more, or should we give re-starting a shot with updated rosters and NCAA draft classes from the start? Feel free to chime in below.

With that said, I've got a few major announcements to make for the future of EOTP. First off, I'm officially announcing that we will be transitioning to the Xbox One for the upcoming Madden. PS4 users, please do not worry, I fully intend to have a PS4 franchise set up for you guys as well, complete with it's own forum and commissioner. This is only part of a revamp I am planning to do over the next several months as we make the site more of a gaming center rather than a league coordinating place -- I want this to be a place you'll hang out and play any number of games, so when you're burned out from Madden or whatever game you've still got a place in EOTP.

This is a major departure from what BenchingMommy (for those of you who remember him) and BigRed first created in EOTP, and I think we can do it with some dedication from admins, old guys and new guys. I've already briefly talked with High Guy and PhillyDieHard and they're all in on helping out. Just to give everybody a bit of a glimpse at what I'm planning, it would include anything from NBA 2K to FIFA to MLB The Show to shooters like Call of Duty and such. Any kind of gaming will be welcome, and any contributions will be welcome. This idea is something that's been floating around in my head for a while now, ever since the ill-fated EOTP Affiliate last year.

So, I know this is a bit much to take in, but guys, please give me input on your thoughts and if you'd like to help out.

I would rather keep the current teams and keep moving forward. Re-starting isn't gong to attract new owners (IMO).

With the set up of the current draft class I'd be very open to re-starting (I hate the idea of drafting "duplicate" players) If we don't I understand that too.

If we're going to do a PS4 league, I'd suggest going ahead and starting that as a parallel league with the guys who already have PS4s

I'm highly interested in what other games this website can become involved in particarly Call of Duty and The Show. If we don't start a PS4 Madden league, I'd suggest starting the new gaming out reach with that game.

I agree with Bama that I really don't want to draft duplicate players. If we restart I think we should sim to the 1st NCAA draft and start that way.

I'm down for restarting. I'd really like to get a new team, I'm rather bored with the roster the ravens start out with and I'd like to spice it up.

i enjoy it here and i want to carry on playing here. it would be nice to have the giants also.

restart...the duplicate classes is what kills it for me this season. be nice to maybe have a new team as well. maybe a team draft or something?

Well I just lost Manziel for half the season so I'd be fine with restarting now. Also I'd like the Chiefs .

For those that want to restart, we are still curious if you want to restart right away, or right after this season ends. Otherwise voice your opinions away!

restart asap and sim the first season to get to the ncaa draft

I have no opinion either way but I will say this. If we do finish this Madden season, there needs to be some incentive to keep playing.

i think if we restart it would be a spark for maybe a few weeks but then it will be the sasme thing imo. arnd week 4 or 5 things will slow down

I wouldn't mind restarting, but i would like to finish this season first.

I would say let's restart ASAP. But I would like to suggest a different way of doing it. Let's sim the first season. Complete all off-season activities (re-sign, draft, scouting...SKIP FA). This would complete the 2014 class.

I would also like to suggest we sim the next season as well, skipping ahead to the 2015 off-season. This time around doing the whole off-season (Re-signings, FA, and do the 2015 draft class the one that is currently butchered by the duplicate players).

Just a thought.

And also, if we don't restart ASAP i feel interest will die very quickly even though people do know in fact we are restarting, best we just do it now IMO.

I have a beast team but I would rather give it up for better league activity all around.

I vote restart after the season. (finally have a competitive team)

I suggest if the league restarts mid-season--Owners should not be allowed to keep their current team. They should be required to Really Start over with a new franchise and new rosters. Starting over with your current team gives legacy players a One-up on setting their rosters as they already know who will pan out and what players plain stink.

I feel if we take a "mental break" No one will want to come back to it.

I'm okay with restarting or continuing. As long as this lg keeps going on 360 for now. I just got here and I'd be lying if I said i wouldnt be bummed if it ended already. If we keep going with the current teams, sounds fine to me. If we restart, lets at least finish out this season. That way we dont have duplicate draft players and that'll also give ample time to figure out how and who you want to assign teams to.
