To Continue, or to Say Screw It

Well...we're at that point in late May where people are dropping like flies. We're currently at 23 owners, and a few of those aren't too active.

I want to get your serious opinions on this -- should we keep playing?

I think it's time for a break. The ones that will stay in the league will likely have vacations and such coming up and this is also the "dead" period of pro football with only OTAs in the immediate future. This would give us all a break and some time away from Madden.

Yeah I agree. It's about that time to shut it down until Madden 15.

i voted yes, but i'd also be down for a mini league.

If we did a mini league I'd like to switch teams but still like to keep priority on the Bills for Madden 15.

I would like to keep playing 25 until the demo for 15 comes out and have a tournament after this season a few days before the demo releases

I would like to continue but I'd be down for a mini-league as well.

As far as changing teams, I think I, too, would like to change teams if I could still have priority for the Texans.

How possible would it be for a mini league of a few teams to get together and do a Fantasy re-draft

I would consider doing a few things for a mini-league, like a fantasy draft or moving rosters to other teams (so that we can stack divisions for more user games). You would still keep your reserved teams that way.

As for swapping teams and keeping going...I'm not too keen on that. I'm inclined to bring the franchise to an end if only a few people really want to keep it going. The consensus so far seems to be a mini-league with different teams or a different format would be best for the summer.

What do you guys think?

EDIT: I would consider adding in rookies (drafted only, no FA) if we do team swaps and not a fantasy draft. That way the first draft would end up being next years' draft and you'll already have rookies. I'd also make sure all FA moves were done. Thoughts?

I would like the fantasy draft that I suggested if only the 10 people or so that said would do did so we can all be online at one time

I don't if it's possible to set the draft order but the Super Bowl champ should get first pick and continue in a reverse order

I'm gonna say we do a fantasy draft just to mix things up a bit

but who wants to do the mini league first of all

If we're going to stop as a franchise I'll do a mini-league.

If we're doing a fantasy draft all I'll do is fine tune the draft class, not add rookies.

I like the idea of a mini-league with the rosters as they are right now IRL.

We're still getting input, a decision hasn't been made yet, as you can see from above.

If we do a mini-league with IRL rosters I'll need a few days to put that together, and I'd appreciate a few people's help with that.

If we do a fantasy draft the big thing is coming up with a day/time that everybody can do -- most people won't like playing with a fantasy drafted team that they had no input on.

I'm for keeping playing, but I wasn't in league as early as a lot of you so know you guys may be tired of league.

A) the league should end.

B) The league should end with the start up of a mini-league for those interested in continuing to play Madden

Agreed. I'm not willing to continue running a league that simply isn't invested in continuing in this Madden.

So I propose this: who's for doing a mini-league (and in what format) and who is for tabling Madden until the new one is out in August?

Mini league and finish the season! But I don't care that much about this season just tied for the lead in AFC south no big deal
