Bills Win Opener!

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. --In a game led by the Bills defense, the Bills had deafeted the Colts 24-19. The Bills started out with the ball, and Booker Homan, the Bills only draft pick of the draft, came out to lead the Bills high powered offesne. He didint have a great game with only 7 completions for 25 ATT, but the throws he made, were key when he made them. Tamba Hali had a career day, Tamba Hali finished the day with 7 sacks, 1 pass deflection, 1 forced fumble, and a total of 8 tackles. Tamba Hali said after the game " I dont know, it just felt like i was doing everything right, it seemed as they tried to put extra blockers there on occasion, but it didint work"

The Bills were led by a defense that was motivated to get back to the prize in the 1st year of making the Super Bowl, the Bills D picked up the offenses slack and kept the Bills O in good field position due to turnovers and sacks.

HB C.J. Spiller dislocated his elbow, and is reported he will be out for 2 weeks, he is expected to make the game with Baltimore.

Next Week:
The Bills take on the Tennessee Titans in week2, where the the Bills will be on the road, look for another pass happy game between the two teams.

Bills Sign FA RB Anthony Dixon

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- The Buffalo Bills anounce today this morning, that they have signed FA RB Anthony Dixon, he will be used in short yardage situations with his trucking ability. he could be here for a short time when C.J. Spiller gets back from injury.

"Im happy to get a chance, because thats all i need to prove to the world that i can still be a effective RB for any team" Dixon is excited about joining the Bills, and will be in practice learning the playbook, he also will suit up against Tennessee.

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- The Bills have announced this afternoon that QB Trent Edwards will be released, he could not see his way onto the field with a crowded QB lineup that features Ryan Fitzpatrick, Booker Homan, And Brian Brohm.

Coach Chan Gailey spoke with the media after practice and talked about the release of Trent. " He just wasent good enough to be on our team, hopefully, he can make it big somewhere else" Booker Homan will also be the strater against the Titans unless there is an injury to him.

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. --Johnathon Crompton brings to the table a powerful arm that can easily get the ball down the field in the Bills vertical attack. Crompton also displays very good accuracy, but can be off at times. The Bills have reportedtly traded to get Crompton from the Oakland Raiders, and have given this years 2nd round draft choice.

Chan Gailey had a few comments on the signing of Crompton " He's a very good football player, hes very smart with his throws, and takes time to read the defense before hand, i think he can be a very good QB for us during the season, and through the years to come"

Johnathon Crompton now moves to #1 QB on Depth Chart, Fitzpatrick #2, and Homan #3.

The Bills also announced the releasing of QB Brian Brhom.

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. --The Bills traveled to Tennessee to take on the Titans, in a game that featured to heavy passing teams. The game featured newly traded for QB Johnathon Crompton vs Peyton Mannthing, Early on Crompton on his second pass attempt, threw to Lee Evans wide open and he took it for a 76 yard TD. The Bills quickly jumped to a 21-0 lead early in the 2nd, but the Titans did not give up, quickly answering back with 2 TD's to make it a 2 score game going into half.Titans recieved the ball and they scored the only TD of the quarter, late in the 3rd with a Td pass to Garcon.

In the 4th, the teams were tied late it in the game, with around 4 minitues left, the Bills drive was halted and forced to kick a 57 yard FG, to go up by 3. The Titans then needed to score, Titans started out on thier 16, but were brought back to the 8 with a sack by Tamba Hali. The Titans then converted a short 4th and 2, which after the YAC, brought them to the 36ish. The Bills D played well on these 3 next plays and forced a 4th and really long, that the Titans could not conver on. The Bills then scored on a 3rd and 2 passing play which saw the Titans bringing a big blitz, and fitzpatrick dumped it off and Woods took it to the house.
