Forum Change

I talked with War a lot yesterday about this during the middle of the afternoon and I think we came to a decision that it's time to finally convert to vBulletin. Now, here's the deal:

Obviously going to vBulletin is going to cost me money. Right now, I'm looking at vBulletin 5 Connect (comes with vBulletin 4.2 if we want to use that over 5) for the $249 license. There's also the Connect with the Mobile Suite, which will allow us to create the forum of vBulletin as well as get our own app to use on either iOS or Android devices and give an option to use the site on either device. However, that cost $399 and I'm sure we can use the $249 regular forum on our phones regardless. Though it's an option to consider. http://www.vbulletin.com/en/purchases/

I also did some research on some hosts that would be great for us and I think the best one I found was Bluehost. Basically, it's $3.49/month and we get unlimited everything and a free domain name (not sure if we can transfer ours, though if we did it would be some where around $10). http://www.bluehost.com/

Otherwise, the only other thing we would have to concern ourselves with is the yearly payment on the vBulletin licenese, which is somewhere around $40-60 though that I'm not concerned with.

I was actually hoping to see if anyone would want to get in and help with purchasing the license. There's a donation link on the bottom that would send all donations toward getting up the vBulletin license. Everything else I should be able to handle just fine.

It shouldn't be long to get this up and hopefully within the week we can get it up. If you have any other ideas on hosts that would be great. Let me know below.

I think its a great idea.. I would definitely donate for this if I had money. broke law student right now :/

Thanks again to zoufan and Violent for your current donations. We're still going to see if we can get a little bit more, whatever you can donate it's appreciated. Probably another day or two and we'll decide what we do from there.
